If the weather or the sea make Cala Vella unsafe, we sail to the Illetas area instead, on the other side of the bay. It is an operational decision, taken on the day and only for that reason.

Questions
Where does the Saona leave from?
From Sa Calma Boats: Palma Meeting Point, in Palma Port. Be there 20 minutes before departure: boarding closes 10 minutes before we leave.
How long does each trip last?
The day trip lasts 5 hours and leaves at 11:00. The sunset trip lasts 4.5 hours and leaves in the late afternoon; the exact time moves through the season, so the times on this page are the real ones for the day you pick.
How much does it cost?
General Access starts at the price shown on the card above per adult for the day trip. Premium Terrace and Sky VIP Lounge cost more and include a different catering service; you can compare the three above. Children aged 3 to 12 pay a reduced fare in General Access and under-2s sail free.
What is the difference between the three areas?
General Access is the main deck, with direct access to the sea, open seating and standard catering. Premium Terrace gives you individual seating with a table, premium catering and the main bar. Sky VIP Lounge is the upper deck: sunbeds, a welcome drink, premium catering, a deliberately low number of people and a slide only that area uses.
Where do you sail to?
From Palma to Cala Vella, inside the Marine Reserve of the Bay of Palma. We anchor there for about an hour and a half on the day trip so you can swim, use the slides and eat on board.
What happens if we cannot go to Cala Vella?
We sail to the Illetas area instead. Cala Vella is inside the marine reserve and is the usual stop, but the sea and the wind decide: if it is not safe or not comfortable that day, the captain moves the stop to Illetas. It is an operational decision for weather reasons only, never a change to what you booked, and everything else on board stays the same.
Is food included?
Yes. Catering and bar service are included, and what is served depends on the area you booked. Bringing your own food and drink on board is not allowed.
Can I swim, and are the slides included?
Yes, both. During the stop in Cala Vella you can swim, use the water slides and the floating platform, weather permitting. The Sky VIP Lounge has an extra slide of its own.
Can I go with children?
Yes. Children from 3 to 12 pay a reduced fare in General Access and under-2s sail free. There are life jackets on board in every size, and the swimming area is supervised by the crew.
What should I bring?
Swimwear, a towel, sunscreen and comfortable footwear. On the sunset trip, a light jacket for after the sun goes down. Everything else is on board.
What happens if the weather is bad?
You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before departure. If we are the ones who cannot sail, we tell you and you get your money back or move to another day.
Can I charter the whole catamaran?
Yes. The Saona is available for private events: company days, weddings, celebrations and incentive trips. Ask for a quote with your date and the number of guests and we send you a proposal, usually the same day.
