The boat to the nature park leaves from the same quay. Many travellers take the ferry in the morning, visit the island at midday and have lunch on the promenade before heading back.

The first stage of the GR 221, the Dry Stone Route, links Port d’Andratx with Sant Elm via the sa Trapa viewpoint. Plenty of people do both: cross by boat in the morning, have lunch in Sant Elm and hike back over the hills, or the other way round, walking out and saving their legs with the afternoon ferry home.
If you’re planning to walk one way, check the board before you set off: it shows the last departure of the day, which isn’t the same every day of the week.
